Log Cabin - Midnight Kitchen

Proper Interior Design and Co. was commissioned to design a bespoke kitchen in a charming log cabin nestled in the breathtaking landscape of Columbia Falls. With the existing kitchen fully demolished, this project presented an opportunity to create a completely reimagined space that balanced rustic charm with modern functionality.

One of the key design challenges was integrating the kitchen with the existing mezzanine and adjacent living room, ensuring a seamless flow between the spaces. The design needed to honor the architectural integrity of the cabin while providing a highly functional and visually cohesive kitchen layout. Thoughtful spatial planning allowed for an open, inviting atmosphere that connected effortlessly with the surrounding areas.

A central aspect of the design was incorporating the client’s love for turquoise accents in a way that felt sophisticated and timeless. This was achieved through carefully curated finishes, hardware, and decorative elements that infused the space with personality without overwhelming its natural warmth.

Equally important was the harmonization of wood tones, ensuring that the selected cabinetry, flooring, and ceiling beams complemented each other rather than competing. Through meticulous material selection, we curated a palette that enhanced the richness of the natural wood while maintaining a balanced and cohesive aesthetic.

The final design seamlessly merged rustic textures with refined details, honoring the cabin’s character while delivering a highly functional and beautifully curated kitchen. This project exemplifies Proper Interior Design and Co.'s expertise in creating tailored spaces that respect both the architectural context and the client’s unique vision.
